KU Leuven, the
largest university in Belgium, is
committed to supporting talented individuals from developing countries to obtain their PhDs through the Global
Minds Program. SEE: (Study Without IELTS in Qatar Universities). This program is managed by IRO, the university’s Interfaculty Council for Development Cooperation, and

By
investing in the education of these individuals, KU Leuven is contributing to
development cooperation and helping to build a brighter future for all. ( see: Scholarship winner Study plan for 2024). The Global Minds
Program offered by KU Leuven
provides students from developing countries with a unique opportunity to
conduct PhD research in a ‘sandwich’
system.

This means that 50% of the research is conducted at KU Leuven,
while the other 50% takes place at the scholar’s home institution, supported by
a local co-promoter. This approach not only enables students to benefit from
the expertise and resources available at KU Leuven but also allows them to
apply what they have learned in their own country.
Upon successful completion
of the program, students receive a PhD degree awarded by KU Leuven, which is
recognized worldwide. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this exciting program
and make a difference in your field of study.

Belgium:
Belgium is a small yet diverse country located in Western
Europe. It is known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and delicious
cuisine. The country is divided into three regions: Flanders in the north,
Wallonia in the south, and Brussels in the centre, which is the capital and
serves as the country’s political and cultural hub.

One of the things that makes
Belgium unique is its bilingualism. The country has two official languages:
Dutch and French. In Brussels, both languages are spoken, as well as English
due to the city’s status as the headquarters of the European Union. Belgium is also famous for its beer, chocolate, and waffles.
There are over 1,500 different types of beer produced in the country, and
Belgian chocolate is considered some of the best in the world. Waffles are a
popular snack and can be found in many street markets and cafes.

In addition to its culinary delights, Belgium is home to
many museums, historical landmarks, and cultural festivals. The country has a
rich artistic tradition, with famous painters such as René Magritte and Peter
Paul Rubens hailing from Belgium. (See: Scholarship at the University of Calabria in Italy for 2024–2025). Overall, Belgium is a fascinating country
with much to offer visitors and residents alike. Its unique culture, rich
history, and diverse landscape make it a great place to live, work, and
explore.
