Situated in Changping County, Beijing, China University of Petroleum, Beijing Campus (CUP) is situated in a beautiful area of attraction. It’s around 5 miles from the Ming Tombs and 15 miles from the Great Wall. Along with oil and gas science engineering programs (such as chemical, petroleum, mechanical, and electronic engineering), CUPB also offers full-range diploma, bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate programs in computer science, business management, and Chinese language study. How to Apply China University of Petroleum Beijing Scholarship
Eligibility
- Students should be from that country which is a part of the ‘One
Belt One Road’ initiative.
- Students must be non-Chinese citizens and from countries
along the Silk Roads.
- Bachelor’s candidate should have a minimum HSK 3(180).
- If a Master’s and
PhD candidate select Chinese-taught programs then they must have at least HSK
4 (180).
- One-year Chinese language course if you do not meet the minimum
language requirements.
- If you want to study without the Chinese language then you must
have HSK 4(222) for Bachelor’s and HSK 5(180) for a Chinese-taught program MS and
PhD.
- You can apply with an English Proficiency Letter from a previous
university to demonstrate that you have good English

- 40 years for PhD scholars

- Notarized copy of highest diploma or degree certificate.
Those students who are currently enrolled or don’t have an original degree must submit official proof of student status. You can upload a Provisional
certificate as proof of student. If your documents are not in English or
Chinese then you have to attach a notarized translation in English or Chinese.
- Transcripts (from undergraduate to onwards). If you are in the last semester and graduate soon then from the first to last semester results
card. Result cards shall be issued and sealed by the university. Don’t upload
student portal screenshots. They can be in English or Chinese and must be
notarized. If your documents are not in English or Chinese then you have to
attach a notarized translation in English or Chinese.
- Language proficiency certificate. If your major is
Chinese-taught then you must upload a valid HSK score. Candidates for the English-taught program shall provide language proficiency certificates like
IELTS etc and you can also apply without IELTS if you have an English proficiency
certificate from your previous university to demonstrate your English skills.
- A brief Study plan/research proposal. A study plan written
in English or Chinese and should be more than 1000 words. Your proposal should
be focused and brief with academic background, research field description, and
the future research plan. A brief introduction to why you want to study in China
and CUP reasons and understanding of China and CUP are also included in the
proposal. The proposal must be signed by the Chinese supervisor for PhD
candidate.
- Two recommendation letter

- Acceptance letter from Chinese supervisor
- Work experience/internship certificate, etc
